Giorgio Moretto

Giorgio Moretto, of counsel, with Studio Associato di Consulenza d’Impresa since 2020.

He gained professional experience in auditing the financial statements of important groups operating in the manufacturing, industrial and services sectors at home and abroad (Safilo Group, Luxottica, Zoppas Industries, Acqua Minerale San Benedetto, Geox, SAVE, Illycaffè), in the retail sector (PAM Group, Unicomm Group) and in the hotel sector (NH Hotels, Hilton, BluHotels). He was also involved in auditing and consulting services to important industrial holding companies, operating as provider of consulting services to La Leonardo Finanziaria and as signing audit partner of the Edizione financial statements until 2020.  He collaborated on important privatization projects of large public companies and IAS/IFRS conversion projects of important companies.
He also took care as audit partner of the Non Financial Reporting of listed companies (Safilo Group).

He participated as responsible partner and as a manager in several M&A transactions related to financial, industrial and commercial groups (Sarah Lee, Hal Investments, Reckitt Benckiser, GGP Group, The Nuance Group), both in Italy and abroad, dealing with the financial due diligence aspects of the related projects.

He graduated in Economics and Business at the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice in 1984 and after a first work experience in the banking sector he joined the professional organization of Arthur Andersen, in the division dedicated to auditing and accounting organization, in which he acquired the qualification of associate partner in 1997 and international partner in 2001. Following the merger of Andersen with the professional organization Deloitte, which took place in 2003, he worked as a senior partner Deloitte until the end of 2020, dealing with auditing and business organization activities and the coordination of commercial initiatives for the Triveneto area.

He is a Chartered Accountant registered in the register of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts of Venice and is registered in the Register of Statutory Auditors.

He collaborated with the Training School for the professional internship of the Order of Chartered Accountants of Venice and Treviso, held several training courses for members of the Order and  participated as  external teacher in the courses of auditing and international accounting standards held at the University of Venice.

He held the position of statutory auditor in companies operating in the industrial sector and for non-profit organizations and currently holds the role of executive chairman in an important non-profit entity operating in the Treviso providing services to disadvantaged people.
